
The retail department covers all aspects of retail property including Shopping Centres, Out of Town and High Street with a particular focus on the North West of England and North Wales. The team adopts a client led approach with many of our clients having been with the firm since Legat Owen was established in 1986.
The team advises a number of major landlords including Catalyst Capital, APAM, Cheshire West & Chester Council, Hollins Murray Group and the Atmore Group across a range of shopping centres/retail parks.
We currently advise a number of High Street landlords ranging from Pension Funds, independent property companies to high net worth individuals.
Development has become one of the core aspects of the teams work, ranging from roadside convenience stores and petrol stations to drive-thru’s to shopping centre redevelopment/extensions. We have become particularly active in the convenience store market advising a number of developers/landlords together with occupiers on development and subsequently investment opportunities.
